Another peaceful Anti-Trump protester that somehow peacefully causes peaceful destruction of other people’s property…in the name of peace.
Damaree Mitchell, a big 19-year-old, Black matriarch-in-training, set a newspaper box on fire to express her displeasure that Donald Trump was elected 45th President of the United States.
That’ll show him.
But not only was she arrested for reckless burning and disorderly conduct, but was booked on an outstanding warrant. She was already wanted by the police and thought, in her pea-brain “you know what would be a good idea? Let me go destroy some stuff! DUMP THE TRUMP! LOVE TRUMPS HATE! NO JUSTICE NO PEACE! INSERT MEANINGLESS SLOGAN HERE!”
With any luck, she’ll be back on the streets and peacefully engage in a little more mayhem in the name of love.
Which brings us to these idiots: We’re going to protest an election that we didn’t participate in when we had the chance.
Most of the 112 protesters arrested in Portland last week didn’t vote in Oregon, according to state election records. Approximately 30 percent did cast a ballot in Oregon or in another state.
At least seventy-nine demonstrators either didn’t turn in a ballot or weren’t registered to vote in the state.
Which means that the 79 of 112 are just lazy twats who didn’t bother and are now rioting for the sake of it, or they are from outside the jurisdiction of Multnomah County, OR. Which raises the following question:
The activity included at least one night that the police declared to be a riot, with more than $1 million in property damage. The bulk of the arrests happened on Friday and Saturday evenings as protesters faced off against police.
If they are residents, why didn’t they vote? Further down in the story, it states that 89 of the arrestees gave Oregon addresses.
KGW compiled a list of the 112 people arrested by the Portland Police Bureau during recent protests. Those names and ages, provided by police, were then compared to state voter logs by Multnomah County Elections officials.
Records show 39 of the protesters arrested were registered in the state but didn’t return a ballot for the November 8 election. Thirty-five of the demonstrators taken into custody weren’t registered to vote in Oregon.
Kevin Grigsby was one of 71 arrested during the Saturday night protest. He said he didn’t do anything wrong, but told KGW he also did not vote.
“I did not (vote) and the reason why is because we know that the electoral college is really what matters the most. And I think that we need to change that because your vote doesn’t matter if you don’t have enough electoral college points.,” said Grigsby.
In case you are curious, as I am, Kevin Grigsby is the disreputable indigent in the center:
By this perverse nonlogical bleating, your vote doesn’t matter any time your side loses an election. Saying “I lost, therefore the procedure is flawed” is not a valid argument. But it is pretty typical of the thinking of the Progressive Jacobins who think that the universe must move in accordance with their preferences.
