A Jonesville woman is accused of neglecting two of her children after they tested positive for marijuana, according to the Union County Sheriff’s Office.
Cassandra Thompson, 22, of Robinson Farm Road, faces two charges of unlawful neglect after her 5-year-old daughter and 1.5-month-old daughter were exposed to marijuana, according to a Sheriff’s Office report.
The children’s drug test results were brought to deputies’ attention by the Union County Department of Social Services, according to the report.
The Department of Social Services gathered and analyzed hair samples from the two children earlier this month. The samples, along with another collected from Thompson, tested positive for marijuana, the report said.
A 3-year-old child of Thompson’s also was tested for marijuana, but the drug test came back negative, the report said.
Let’s see…22-year-old black matriarch…a five-year-old, a three-year-old, and a one-and-a-half-month-old. She started having babies around 16 or 17, had another at 19 or 20, and and another one within the last year. She’s having babies at a rate of about one every two years.
It costs about $250,000 to raise a baby. Do you really think this woman has $750,000, or the prospect of getting $750,000 over the course of the next 18 years?
Nope. But she has money to pay the weed man and smoke it around her kids.
