Dianne Feinstein Champions the Heckler’s Veto Against Patriot Prayer in San Francisco

Dear Superindendent Muldoon:

As we discussed on our call yesterday, I strongly oppose the Golden Gate Recreation Area’s decision to grant an event permit to Patriot Prayer for an August 26 demonstration at Crissy Field. According to the Southern Poverty Law Center, Patriot Pray attracts white nationalists and other hate groups to its rallies with the intent to provoke unrest between those groups and counter-protesters. I am alarmed at the prospect that Crissy Field will be used as a venue for Patriot Prayer’s incitement, hate, and intimidation.

It appears that “counter-protester” is the new code word for violent SJW and Communist mobs engaging in illegal activity. Let’s not mince words: Unite the Right’s permit was not intended to cover the mob that showed up to disrupt their demonstration and assault them. Patriot Prayer’s public permit is not intended to cover the SJW and Communist mobs that will appear at their planned demonstration in San Francisco.

Unless the “counter-protesters” (SJWs and Communists) have their own permit, then they have no business being there. Let them stew in their “provoked” state of mind from the comfort of their own homes if they cannot get one.

As you know, Crissy Field is a public recreational area, which draws hundreds of families who enjoy the beach, trails, and picnic areas each weekend. Because of Crissy Field’s open design – with beaches, open grassy areas, and no fences – the proposed demonstration poses very real threats to the public should the protest devolve into racial violence and clashes with law enforcement.

The City of San Francisco can afford millions in public pensions, but it can’t afford barricades? Surely there are hundreds of plastic or metal barricades in storage from the dozens of alternative lifestyle demonstrations that are attracted to San Francisco annually. Is the City of San Francisco that incompetent at crowd control?

And the “violence” previously caused at Patriot Prayer rallies was more of a “political” nature than a racial one, specifically, violence directed by socialists against non-socialists.

While I understand from you that the U.S. Park Police is working with other law enforcement agencies to assess the public safety risk, I believe there is a strong potential for violence during this demonstration. I was mayor of San Francisco for nine years. I know the area well, and I know the very significant challenges an event like this at Crissy Field will pose for law enforcement. In fact, Patriot Prayer’s recent demonstrations in Seattle and Portland both involved physical altercations, resulting in several arrests.

Ah, now we have some meat to cut in to. Let’s look at those “altercations” from Seattle and Portland.

Still, some anti-fascist and anti-Trump counter-protesters made it to the plaza and surrounded the prayer rally at the plaza. There were speeches and a lot of swearing. Some attending the rally donned protective vests and helmets, and waved American flags or signs with slogans like “Christian Values.”

Leaders and others attending the prayer rally condemned the violence by white supremacists in Virginia, many showing support for President Trump and his vision of America. The counter-protesters weren’t making much of a distinction between the two.

The SJWs and Communists cannot or will not distinguish between “white supremacists” and non-white supremacists? Interesting. It’s as if their politics are dualistic and completely intolerant of anyone outside of their ideological bubble.

“This powerful country needs to be waving high — red, white and blue — and never back down. Why? Because we are the patriots, and we’re going to fight for what’s right,” speaker Tiny Toese, of Vancouver, Washington, told the crowd. “It all comes down to respect.”

All the while, hundreds of counter-protesters booed, yelled expletives and held signs such as “Strength through diversity” from behind a fence separating them from the pro-Trump group. Organizers of that crowd said they were there to stand against hate. A few wore all black and masks.

Antifa? At my “peaceful counter-protests?” Surely not.

Continued and buried in the middle of the story:

Seattle police reported making three arrests: a 40-year-old man for obstruction, a 37-year-old man for assault and a 25-year-old man for assault. Officers also observed some people “infiltrating” the rally at Denny Park carrying ax handles, two-by-fours and balloons containing an unknown liquid substance, according to the Police Department’s online blotter.

When Communists and Antifa show up to commit violence at an illegal counter protest, they have “infiltrated” the illegal counter protest. When some guy from Ohio, unaffiliated with anyone present, crashes into a mob of illegally counter protesting SJWs and kills one, then it is a “violent white nationalist hate rally.”

Got it.

Let’s see what these “mostly peaceful”, illegally counter-protesting demonstrators had on them.

Seattle Police arrested three men as officers worked to facilitate two planned demonstrations in Seattle today: one in Westlake park and a separate, larger counter demonstration in Denny Park.

As hundreds of peaceful counter demonstrators gathered in Denny Park, police observed some individuals infiltrating the crowd carrying axe handles, two-by-fours, and balloons containing an unknown liquid substance. Still others wore dark glasses, goggles and bandannas to conceal their identity.

Some members of the Denny Park counter demonstration tried to circumvent police by running down an alley between 5th and 6th Avenues and Lenora. These individuals tried to use a makeshift shield to force their way past police bicycle line. Police used pepper spray to move them back. There were reports of rocks thrown at officers.

Soon after, some in the crowd lobbed fireworks at officers. Police issued a dispersal order, using pepper spray and blast balls to move the crowd.

If you click the link to the archived police blotter page, you’ll notice that among the items seized from the arrested are a couple of Communist flags.

I’m sure that’s just a coincidence.

14 arrested during competing protests in Portland in wake of train stabbing

Police arrested 14 people Sunday and confiscated several weapons during a day of opposing rallies in downtown Portland, Ore.

The crowds in downtown Portland swelled to several thousand as people gathered for a free speech, pro-President Trump rally and an opposing group demonstrating at the Portland Stands United Against Hate Rally near City Hall.

Police detained a large group of protesters and others who were marching after being removed from Chapman Square where a separate protest designated for an anti-fascist group was eventually closed.

Protesters threw bricks, mortars and balloons filled with “unknown, foul-smelling liquid,” according to police. They said only the protesters at Chapman Square had engaged in criminal behavior. The crowds at Terry Schrunk Plaza, where the pro-Trump rally organized by conservative group Patriot Prayer occurred, and City Hall where the counter-protest organized by immigrant rights, religious and labor groups, were not involved, police said.

And who was at Chapman Square? SJWs and Communists, i.e. Antifa? Yep, that is correct. The pro-free speech people, the pro-Trump, were, and this might be a shock, more interested in speaking than fighting. Meanwhile the crowd that giggles about “bash the fash” and strokes their Marxist chodes to “is it okay to punch a Nazi?” were there attack and destroy (hint: If the Nazi didn’t punch you first, or isn’t making a credible threat to punch you, or the federal government hasn’t issued a declaration of war against Nazis, then no, it is not okay).

Dianne Feinstein is terribly concerned about “incitement” and “violence.” And yet, as we see above, the parties being “incited” are SJWs and Communists. What incites them appears to be anyone supporting Donald Trump or free speech (or “Freeze Peach” as they snidely refer to it). And the violence that Senator Feinstein is so worried about originates from SJWs and Communists.

Back to Dianne Feinstein’s letter:

Given this track record, there is a very real potential that Patriot Prayer will use its permit to demonstrate at Crissy Field as a free pass to incite violence. That is not what Crissy Field is about, and I urge you to reconsider your decision to issue this permit in the name of public safety.

Here we come to the crux of the argument: Dianne Feinstein wants to curtail the free speech and and peaceable assembly rights of the Patriot Prayer group to prevent SJWs and Communists from responding to speech with violence. Or, as Harry Kalven called it, the Heckler’s Veto. The Heckler’s Veto, in its precise form, occurs when the government suppresses an individual’s speech on the grounds that the government anticipates a strong negative reaction from another person or group of people.

It seems to fit this situation snugly.

More disturbing is the implication in this letter that the “counter-protesters” (SJWs and Communists) are justified in being incited by words alone to attack the speaker of those words or anyone who voluntary listens to speaker.

The narrative is that your words justify their violence.

U.S. Senators pledge to support and defend the Constitution and bear true faith and allegiance to the same. Arguing that it should set aside because a group of self-appointed Communist outlaws take umbrage with the content of speech is neither support or defense; it is complicity in the Constitution’s destruction.

Love Trumps Hate: Future Black Matriarch Arrested For Anti-Trump Fire; More Than Half of Portland Arrestees Didn’t Vote

Another peaceful Anti-Trump protester that somehow peacefully causes peaceful destruction of other people’s property…in the name of peace.

Damaree Mitchell, a big 19-year-old, Black matriarch-in-training, set a newspaper box on fire to express her displeasure that Donald Trump was elected 45th President of the United States.

That’ll show him.

But not only was she arrested for reckless burning and disorderly conduct, but was booked on an outstanding warrant. She was already wanted by the police and thought, in her pea-brain “you know what would be a good idea? Let me go destroy some stuff! DUMP THE TRUMP! LOVE TRUMPS HATE! NO JUSTICE NO PEACE! INSERT MEANINGLESS SLOGAN HERE!”

With any luck, she’ll be back on the streets and peacefully engage in a little more mayhem in the name of love.

Which brings us to these idiots: We’re going to protest an election that we didn’t participate in when we had the chance.

Most of the 112 protesters arrested in Portland last week didn’t vote in Oregon, according to state election records. Approximately 30 percent did cast a ballot in Oregon or in another state.

At least seventy-nine demonstrators either didn’t turn in a ballot or weren’t registered to vote in the state.

Which means that the 79 of 112 are just lazy twats who didn’t bother and are now rioting for the sake of it, or they are from outside the jurisdiction of Multnomah County, OR. Which raises the following question:

The activity included at least one night that the police declared to be a riot, with more than $1 million in property damage. The bulk of the arrests happened on Friday and Saturday evenings as protesters faced off against police.

If they are residents, why didn’t they vote? Further down in the story, it states that 89 of the arrestees gave Oregon addresses.

KGW compiled a list of the 112 people arrested by the Portland Police Bureau during recent protests. Those names and ages, provided by police, were then compared to state voter logs by Multnomah County Elections officials.

Records show 39 of the protesters arrested were registered in the state but didn’t return a ballot for the November 8 election. Thirty-five of the demonstrators taken into custody weren’t registered to vote in Oregon.

Kevin Grigsby was one of 71 arrested during the Saturday night protest. He said he didn’t do anything wrong, but told KGW he also did not vote.

“I did not (vote) and the reason why is because we know that the electoral college is really what matters the most. And I think that we need to change that because your vote doesn’t matter if you don’t have enough electoral college points.,” said Grigsby.

By this perverse nonlogical bleating, your vote doesn’t matter any time your side loses an election. Saying “I lost, therefore the procedure is flawed” is not a valid argument. Downtown L.A. Anti-Trump Protests Lead to More Than 200 Arrests: LAPD

As a third night of protests over Donald Trump’s election swept through major cities, more that 200 people were arrested in the downtown Los Angeles area, police said Friday.

The Los Angeles Police Department made 185 arrests, and the California Highway Patrol made 30 arrests, an LAPD spokesperson said.

One officer was in stable condition Friday after being assaulted by someone who was trying to tag LAPD headquarters with graffiti. The individual involved was also hospitalized.

Most of the protesters appeared to be young — under 30. One young man told KTLA that there was a feeling of “love” and unity among Trump’s critics.

“When you’re in that crowd … you know everyone’s not just saying ‘F Donald Trump’ just to say it,” protester Arnold Jimenes told KTLA. “Everyone feels that this man should not be representing our country.”

Nothing says “love” and “unity” like coming together for just two minutes every day to hate Emmanuel Goldstein…I mean Donald Trump and reaffirm our love and unity for Big Brother.

Let’s look at a little more “love” that Hillary backers have in their hearts.

BROOKLYN SINGER CHARGED WITH ASSAULT DURING ANTI-TRUMP PROTESTS IN MANHATTAN

The lead singer of the Harlem Gospel Choir is under arrest, accused of assaulting a Trump supporter during an anti-Trump demonstration in Manhattan Thursday night.

Shacara McLaurin, 23, of Brooklyn was arrested a short time after performing at the Plaza Hotel.

Her family says she and a friend walked past the protest in front of Trump Tower, when a Trump supporter assumed they were protesters and followed them, calling them the N word.

The 74-year-old Trump supporter suffered a cut on his head. Mclaurin is expected to be arraigned Friday afternoon.

The arrest came as a large group of demonstrators once again gathered outside Trump Tower on Fifth Avenue Thursday night.

McLaughlin was charged with felony assault. She is believed to be a Clinton supporter.

“This was a dispute over the Clinton Trump campaign,” police said.

Another night of nationwide protests against Donald Trump’s election came to a head in Portland, where thousands marched and some smashed store windows, lit firecrackers and sparked a dumpster blaze.

Some 4,000 protesters surged into the downtown area late Thursday night with chants like “we reject the president-elect!”

Crews were mopping up Oakland’s downtown and parts of Uptown on Friday morning, following a third night of protests opposing the election of Donald Trump that included at least 11 arrests.

Although smaller and less chaotic than Wednesday’s protest, Thursday’s march was marked by dumpster fires and broken windows in at least two downtown businesses.

The 11 arrests, plus another seven citations issued were for a variety of suspected crimes, including assault on officers, vandalism, failure to disperse and public intoxication.

One of the people arrested had a cache of Molotov cocktails, Officer Johnna Watson said early Friday.

As roughly 150 anti-Trump protesters took to the streets of Richmond Wednesday night, the state Republican headquarters and several monuments were vandalized, including the Jeff Davis Memorial, which was spray-painted with the phrase “your vote was a hate crime.”

Virginia State Police arrested 10 people and Richmond Police arrested two more. All were charged with unlawful assembly. Of the 12 arrested, 10 were VCU students.

“We represented ourselves very well…except for the vandalism and property destruction.”

But the most disturbing incident is the “your vote was a hate crime” graffiti, because it reflects the tribal mentality of the anti-Trump brigade.

They cluck their tongues at anything they think is “right-wing violence” but when they run about smashing property, committing assaults, and disturbing public order, it’s okay, because they’re the ones doing it, and they have really, really, REALLY important reasons for doing it. These are the same types who clutch their pearls at that famous Nixon interview in which he stated that (in the context of national security):“Well, when the president does it, that means that it is not illegal.””

Yesterday, I posted about how the mainstream media in America is dying due to self-inflicted gunshot wounds to its own head. The American progressives are suffering from a similar ailment; The election on Tuesday demonstrated that the American public does not believe that Democrats in particular and the American Left in general argues any position in good faith, and the reality is that they don’t because they are incapable of doing so. They are incapable of doing so because they have abandoned the tools of reason and logic and grammar, and taken up sophistry and demagoguery. They refused to argue politics and simply proclaimed, loudly and often, that anyone who opposed them was guilty of moral turpitude (You’re a racist/sexist/homophobe/Islamophobe/Immigrantophobe/Transphobe/Tax-phobe/War-phobe/Insert your ad hominem of choice here) and to be disregarded.

And finally, after 50 years of this (its always gone on, but it didn’t become the Democrats primary weapon of choice until the 1964 Presidential election between Barry Goldwater and Lyndon Johnson), the American public is immune to this simplistic name-calling and shaming. Now, when people are called (Insert your ad hominem of choice) they don’t bat an eyelash at it, because they know if the speaker is a Democrat, or some Democrat operative, they are likely full of shit and just trying to circumvent an argument without having to engage it.

Democrats. Anti-Trump protesters. This is the political landscape you have cultivated. This is the level to which you have dragged down political discourse in America. This is the fruit of identity politics and political tribalism. This is the bed which you have made. Now lie quietly in it.

Backpage Prostitute Doesn’t Get Paid; Accuses the Client of Rape

Heidi L Glick, 31, of Portland was charged by Lewis County for malicious prosecution after accusing Steven W. Flournoy Jr. of rape. Glick and Flournoy met after Glick advertised sexual services on Backpage.com. One of the conditions of Glick’s bail was that she cease advertising on Backpage.

On January 7, Lewis County prosecutor Sheila Weirth accused Glick of violating that condition. Weirth repeated the charge at a hearing on January 14. Judge James Lawler, on the prosecution recommendation, remanded Glick into custody for violating her bail. The judge raised her bail to $50,000.

Glick first contacted the police on November 7, 2015, claiming that Flournoy raped her. She later changed her statement that he refused to pay her for sex, which she considered to be rape. Flournoy responded by turning over a recording to police in which Glick threatened that she would make a false accusation of rape against him, if he didn’t pay her.

Update: Woman Who Made False Rape Claim in Portland Charged

Sarah Dodge of Bridgton, Maine, was issued a criminal summons from Portland on Thursday in connection with the false rape report she made on August 12. The 34-year-old Dodge claimed that she had been raped on Back Cove Trail, leading to a two-day investigation and increased police patrols. Dodge recanted her story on August 14. Her arraignment is scheduled for October 1 at 8:30 AM for creating a false public alarm, a class D misdemeanor.

Portland Press Herald Publishes BELIEVE HER Op-Ed In Response To False Rape

Last week, a woman filed a false police report, claiming she had been raped along a public trail in Portland, Maine. She recanted the story two days later when police realized her story didn’t make sense. Undeterred by this wild goose chase, the local paper lectures the public on why you should just BELIEVE HER, rather than investigate claims of criminal acts:

In all likelihood, more than a dozen sexual assaults occurred in Maine last week. Unfortunately, most people heard about only one.

“In all likelihood”? The editorial board means “we speculate so you don’t have to.”

Last Wednesday, a woman reported she had been assaulted, in broad daylight, on the walking trail on Portland’s Back Cove.

Two days later, however, the woman recanted her story, saying that no assault took place, reinforcing what too many people assume about rape allegations – that most are false and not to be taken seriously.

In reality, the opposite is true, and a very public false allegation cannot be allowed to perpetuate the harmful idea that it happens all the time, or to set back the significant, but by no means complete, progress made over the years in support of victims of sexual violence.

Or, it could reinforce the positively absurd assumption that assigning guilt in the absence of evidence corroborating an accusation is not a good idea. But that’s just that silly Patriarchal idea that a person should not be deprived of their freedom without proof beyond a reasonable doubt. Please, continue.

The area where last week’s assault was reported is open and popular, and in full view of Interstate 295. As such, the report left people feeling scared and vulnerable.

Police acted swiftly, investigating the area and stepping up patrols in what was a very public response.

Because rape allegations often warrant this sort of action, or involve a celebrity or otherwise capture the public’s attention, when they turn out to be false, it makes an outsized impression.

But it is not the very few false reports of sexual assault that we should be worried about; it’s the many rapes that happen but are never reported.

A police and media three-ring circus ran for two days on the word of a woman, which turned out to be a complete lie, wasting hundreds of hours and public resources on a hunt for a man who doesn’t exist. However, the author is not worried about the “few” false reports of sexual assault because…well, they never give a good reason but one can guess. Because it happens primarily to MEN, false rape accusations don’t really matter. Which is why the author ignores the blatant injustice of punishing a man for a crime he did not commit and implies that “well, since it’s only a few, let’s let it slide.”

Victims of sexual assault face circumstances unlike those related to any other crime, a persistent stigma that keeps them from coming forward.

The victims, most of whom know their attacker, may feel like they’ll be blamed, or their personal life will be scrutinized by the authorities.

They may not recall all the details of their assault, and there may not be physical evidence that an attack occurred, so they fear that they won’t be believed.

They may be ashamed or humiliated, and not want their family members to know what happened.

As a result, only about a third of sexual assaults are reported to police.

Three points to address here. First point is the sweeping statement that “sexual assault victims face circumstances unlike those related to any other crime.” I think the victims of murder would disagree, if they were in a position to. But the victims of a false rape accusation face the task of not only proving that they are innocent in fact, but that procedurally, they were wrongfully convicted.
Second point, “the victims, most of whom know their attacker” blah, blah, blah. In 2013, the FBI reports there being approximately 79,770 rapes in the United States. The total population was about 315 million with the male population being about 154,980,000. Of that 154,980,000, approximately 88.12% or 136,568,376 are over the age of 18. For the sake of the argument, let’s pretend all 79,770 of these rapes were done by different people that they are all men. 79,770 accounts for approximately one-half of one percent of the male population of the United States of America. Depending on which rape hysteria pressure group you prefer, 1 in 3 or 1 in 4 women are raped in their lifetimes. With all of this in mind, why are so many women seemingly acquainted with such a small percentage of men? What is it about these rapists that makes women want to be acquainted with them?

According to the Rape, Abuse and Incest National Network, it gets worse from there, with only a handful of reports leading to arrests, and only about 2 percent reporting-rates of sexual assaults ending in prison time for the assailant.

There’s evidence of this in Maine, too, with one in five Mainers identifying as victims of rape or attempted rape at some point in their lives, but only around 350 sexual assaults being reported statewide each year.

Still, that represents an improvement from a few decades ago, as law enforcement, the courts and the public in general have begun to understand the complexities of sexual assault cases. We need to build on that effort and show victims compassion, not meet them with skepticism because of the rare false report.

In conclusion, the author would like for people to shut their eyes and ears to false rape allegations like this, and pretend that they don’t happen, or in the alternative, that no one is harmed by them and nothing is lost.  Oh, and just BELIEVE HER, because why would a woman lie about rape?
Here’s the problem with “BELIEVE HER-ism”: It requires a belief that women are more truthful than men, especially when it comes to matters of their vaginas, such as rape, without any reasoning or proof to support such a belief. It places rape on a pedestal higher than the Roman Church once placed blasphemy, a crime of such distinction and severity that no person who valued his soul would lie about. But it is demonstrably true that women lie about rape for a multitude of reasons. The victims of rape should have to prove the validity of their accusations, just like any other crime, with no higher or lower burden of proof.
